Our love affair with Toy Fair
David Allan, MD at Toynamics UK & Ireland
We’ve been exhibiting at Toy Fair for years, meeting up with friends and industry contacts and making so many wonderful memories. It’s a brilliant place for refreshing partnerships, catching up with great people and reminiscing.
There’s no doubt Toy Fair is great for bringing us new business opportunities – and that’s just as well as it’s a key objective of attending! It’s also a fantastic opportunity to meet up face to face with existing customers, whether they’re relatively new relationships or longstanding ones.
Looking after an extensive portfolio of brands, Toy Fair gives us an opportunity to showcase them all in one place. From our playful wooden role play, railway, construction and outdoor toys from Hape, to our latest sustainable brand Korko, as well as arts and crafts from Nebulous Stars and must have nursery products from Skip Hop.
For retailers Toy Fair is a one stop shop for our dynamic brand portfolio and huge range of toys, and of course the first look at all our new products for the year. As well as showing toys across multiple product categories, from STEM to infant, construction, music, baby, roleplay, ride-on and outdoor, Toy fair is all about being hands-on. It’s a chance for retailers to play with the toys and feel the quality, plus ask questions and hear all about our marketing campaigns and in store support.
This year we have lots to talk about around sustainability – from new toys made from sustainable materials, and reflecting environmental lifestyle shifts, some of our new toys are carrying an eco-sustainability theme through their design. We’ll even tell you about our own bamboo forest and hotel!
I’m really excited for Toy Fair 2023, it’s not only the key trade show of the year, it’s one of my personal highlights of the year too! And 2023 is definitely going to be exciting…
