Please provide a brief introduction to yourself and the company you work for

Orchard Toys has been a leading manufacturer of award-winning educational games and jigsaws for over 50 years. I have been part of the team for 29 years, joining them initially shrink wrapping jigsaws and have progressed to Sales Director as the company has grown.

What is your favourite part about working in the toy industry?

It has to be the people, from those running the independent local toy stores through to the buyers at the major retailers and those working for other toy companies, many whom I now class as friends.

Give us the inside scoop, what products are you launching at Toy Fair 2023?

We are excited to launch a range of new games, covering everything from dinosaurs to penguins, mucky trucks and more. We feel that these lines are all going to be a strong addition to our portfolio. Come and visit us on stand E10 to find out more!

What trends do you predict for the Toy Fair industry in 2023?

Good continuation of popular themes and trends, such as dinosaurs and unicorns, with more importance being given to early years education.

How many years have you exhibited at Toy Fair 2023? Any favourite memories?

I have been to every Toy Fair since joining Orchard Toys 29 years ago!

What is your favourite toy?

With the hobby I have of racing ‘The Rocket’ a gasser style dragstar, it’s got to be any toy with big wheels and big engines! 

What top tip would you give to a fellow exhibitor or visitor attending their first Toy Fair?

For an exhibitor, don’t wear a new pair of shoes, or a new shirt! For a visitor, plan your time wisely so you get to see the most toys possible!
